Booking tickets with access requirements

Free Companion

We offer a free companion for every access booker who needs one.

You can do this yourself online by following the instructions below, or speak to a member of our team for assistance.

You're welcome to email us at tickets@woolwich.works, phone us on 020 8035 8835, or in person at the Woolwich Works Welcome Desk just inside the main entrance.

To book a free companion ticket:

  1. Create your Woolwich Works customer account or if you already have one, log in to your account here
  2. Go to the Other Preferences tab
  3. Tick the box for ‘I need to bring a Personal Assistant/Companion’
  4. Add a ticket for you and a ticket for your Personal Assistant/Companion to your basket, along with any others – one ticket will discount to £0.00 in the basket.
  5. Continue with your booking as usual.

You will only need to do this once, and this discount will apply to all future bookings.

If you have any issues with this offer applying to your order, please contact us at tickets@woolwich.works. Our team will be happy to assist you.

Booking a wheelchair position

For seated events, we have designated wheelchair positions for wheelchair users who will remain in the wheelchairs for the duration of the event.

If you would prefer to transfer to a seat, we can provide chairs with or without arms as needed - this can be requested in the basket when you make your booking. Please note our seating banks have wide shallow steps up to each row, with no handrails or seat arms.

To book a wheelchair position, you can do this yourself online by following the instructions below, or you're welcome to phone us on 020 8035 8835, or in person at the Woolwich Works Welcome Desk just inside the main entrance.

To book a designated wheelchair position:

  1. Create your Woolwich Works customer account or if you already have one, log in to your account here
  2. Go to the Other Preferences tab
  3. Tick the box for ‘I’m a wheelchair user’

When booking your next seated event, you will now see the designated wheelchair positions on the seating plan as the wheelchair symbol.

‘C’ symbols are seats available just to you for anyone else joining you on your visit.

One seat next to you will be unavailable as this seat will be removed, so there won't be anyone sitting in this seat.

Booking seats to suit your access requirements

All of our performance spaces have level or gently ramped access from street to seat, with lifts and stairs up to our Studios and Beanfeast. Our team will be on hand to assist at any time, and you can let us know in the Access Requirements and Assistance Requests section of your booking if you’d like additional help.

Seats

For our seated events in any performance space, most seats are at floor level and are cushioned. A limited number of our chairs have arm rests – please let us know if you need one of them when booking.

In the Fireworks Factory Main Space there are both tables and chairs on the flat floor, and seating banks of upholstered bench seating which have 1-2 steps up between each row. Some smaller performances may also have some raised seating, and we’ll show this on the seating plan for each show where relevant.

We have multiple designated wheelchair positions within our performance spaces which can be booked online – please see the info above.

Access needs and requirements

If you require specific seating to best suit your needs, please email us at tickets@woolwich.works or phone our Box Office team on 020 8035 8835 to discuss where you’ll most enjoy our events from.

You can also set your own preferences for assistance in your customer account if you’d like to share this information with us:

  1. Log in to your Woolwich Works customer account
  2. Go to the Other Preferences tab
  3. Tick the relevant boxes – this helps our team know in advance how best to assist you, so we can ensure you have the most comfortable and enjoyable visit to Woolwich Works
