Screening: Sheep, Actually
Champagne & Qiviut presents The Make Joy After PartySheep, Actually is a film about wool and a sheep named Cow.
It started with the first photo filmmaker Paul Wyatt ever took: a blurred sheep’s nose on a school trip when he was just nine. This lifelong love of animals and a deep-seated curiosity to understand their lives drove Wyatt to make Sheep, Actually.
The film follows Wyatt as he uncovers London’s best-kept secret: sheep living in the capital, the crafters who work with their wool, and a city-dwelling sheep named Cow. At times serious, at others playful, Wyatt’s film is a surprising exploration of where animals, people, and making meet.
The screening will include a glass of prosecco (or non-alcoholic alternative) and popcorn, and be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Paul Wyatt and the London Wool Co’s Justine Lee, who features in the film.
This is the film’s first time in London in a year, following a tour around the country, and a welcome home as it includes a brief appearance by the Woolwich Works stitch night!
