NCO are enormously proud to present their eldest musicians for their final performance with NCO before they move on to new adventures.

At just 13 and 14 years old, these are some of the UK’s most remarkable young musicians and their creativity, skill, resilience, determination and flair is truly impressive.

Conducted by Andrew Morley, they will play:

• Gustav Holst “Mars”, “Venus” and “Jupiter” from The Planets Suite
• John Williams “Main Title”, “Princess Leia’s Theme” and “Imperial March” from Star Wars Suite
• George Gershwin An American in Paris
• Aaron Copland “Corral Nocturne”, “Saturday Night Waltz” and “Hoe-Down” from Rodeo Suite

In 2026, these musicians have taken part in two residential orchestral programmes featuring rehearsals, artist workshops, creative work and wellbeing sessions, as well as a complementary online programme. This concert is the final showcase of their incredible hard work.

NCO’s concerts are for everyone. Join us as we appreciate the sheer joy and energy that can only be experienced in the presence of a wonderful children’s orchestra, and be part of supporting the next generation of musicians.

Does your child play an instrument at school or with the local Music Education Hub? Contact info@nco.org.uk to find out about booking up to 2 complimentary tickets to the concert for you and a family member.

Designed for younger members of the audience but interested adults very welcome.
Meet the conductor and members of the orchestra as they explore how an orchestra can tell a story without using words. They'll explore the themes of cowboys, cities, spaceships and planets, all from the music you'll then hear in the concert. Just show your concert ticket to attend on the day. There will be limited spaces so please arrive on time.
