Your 2026 Brassworks MC is Brian Hargreaves a creator, producer, composer, tenor sax player and multi-instrumentalist. With a wealth of experience in the music and film industry Brian is on a mission, a mission to make people move! Facilitator, artist and events co-ordinator, Brian is your compere for the day!
Crystal Palace Band
Time: 1:00pm - 1:45pm

Crystal Palace Band (Musical Director - Jim Lynch, professional trumpeter) is one of the few traditional Brass Bands remaining in London. The band was founded as the Upper Norwood Temperance Prize Band by the Upper Norwood Temperance Society in 1901, and over time it became closely linked with the Crystal Palace and played there for many years. It consists of over thirty musicians and plays at a variety of events, including open-air concerts at Royal Parks and at the seaside, fetes, carol concerts, parades, brass band contests, parties and indoor concerts. They also have an active 'Community Brass' group of over twenty players of all ages and abilities, plus an additional band for beginners. In the 2026 National Brass Championships we became the London and Southern Counties champions.
DJ BobaFatt

BobaFatt has been DJing since the 90s and currently hosts a show on Soho Radio. Bobby was monthly resident on BBC 6 Music for The Huey Show’s ‘Block Party’ and is one of the UK’s most diverse selectors having performed at venues such as Ministry of Sound, Fabric, Royal Albert Hall, The Roundhouse & The Barbican. Bobby can always be found bounty-hunting for the perfect beat.
NYJO Miles Davis 100
Time: 2:30pm - 3:30pm

NYJO’s Emerging Professional Musicians honour the 100th anniversary of Miles Davis’ birth with a special nine-piece band, bringing to life the highly influential 1957 album Birth of the Cool, mirroring Miles Davis’ original nonet configuration. Alongside this, there will be performances of new arrangements of his iconic repertoire by bandleader and lead trumpet, NYJO’s own Tom Stringer.

NYJO Second Line

As seen at Love Supreme, Cross the Tracks and Chelsea Arts Festival, NYJO are bringing their Second Line band to the streets of Woolwich! NYJO’s Second Line performance involves horns, trombones, saxophones and percussion and is inspired by the tradition of New Orleans street music. The music is loud, vibrant, and all about making its audience want to dance!
Also known as the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, NYJO is an NPO dedicated to making jazz and creative music-making more accessible to early-career musicians, young people, and audiences across the country. NYJO is also one of Woolwich Works’ Resident Artistic Companies.

Ramshacklicious - Mr Burn

Meet Mr Burn, an explosive, chaotic, offbeat Vegas double act with a touch of disaster about them... A riot of live-looped music, clowning, fire and gloriously unexpected mishaps. Ramshacklicious unleash their trademark blend of mayhem and humour in a show where everything teeters on the edge of disaster. A combination of looped trombones, tubas and electronic drums mixed with clowning, puppetry and pyrotechnics.
Brass Funkeys

The Brass Funkeys are trailblazers in the new generation of UK Brass Bands. Formed in 2011, this 9-piece collective has forged a distinctive sound from their bold personalities and diverse influences, while paying homage to their New Orleans roots. Gracing the main stages of Glastonbury, Boomtown, Wilderness and iconic venues like Ronnie Scott’s - this bands delivers a show not to be missed.

Balkanatics

Balkanatics are London’s original and best Balkan Brass Band! Playing wild, rhythmically driving music from the Balkan region and born out of London’s cosmopolitan music scene, they combine the best UK musicians with top Balkan expatriates.
Kongo Dia Ntotila

Drawing on rhythmic and sonic traditions from the motherland - beats, bass grooves, and the euphoric sunshine of Congolese guitars, KDN play a blend of Africa’s finest dance music styles seamlessly fused with a neat dose of jazz. It is pure Afro-joy: irresistible dance-floor- destroying beats, weaving polyrhythmic guitars, grooving bass, soaring horns, and soul-rousing vocals.
