Brassworks: Placements

We're looking for five young people from the Royal Borough of Greenwich to join the Brassworks team this summer.

These are paid placements giving you real, hands-on experience of how a live festival comes together — from the weeks of planning beforehand to the day itself on Saturday 5 September.

Placements run from mid-August to 5 September and total 5 paid days of work, which may be spread across shorter sessions over the period.

THE ROLES

Operations
Get into the nuts and bolts of how a festival runs. You could be working on volunteer rotas, parade route planning, risk assessments, health and safety logistics, and more.

Technical
Work alongside our technical team on stage and sound setup, instrument positioning, running cables, and shadowing experienced technicians throughout the day.

Artist Liaison (x2)
Be the friendly face that makes our artists feel welcome. You'll be coordinating riders, keeping guests informed of schedules, guiding performers to stage, and making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Marketing
Support the delivery of the Brassworks campaign in the lead-up to the event, and capture and create social media content on the day.

Who can apply?
These placements are open to people aged 18–30 who live in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

How to apply
Send your CV and a short letter telling us why you're interested in the role to brassworks@woolwich.works by 30 June 2026. Please state which role you're applying for in your subject line.
