TICKETS & BOOKINGS
How much are tickets?
Child tickets cost £13.50. This includes a £1.50 booking fee per ticket.
Children under 1 year old do not need a ticket. However, if you would like your child to take part in the Letter to Santa Christmas Activity and receive a small gift you will need to purchase a child ticket.
Adults can enter the grotto for free to accompany their child (please note this does not entitle them to take part in the Letter to Santa Christmas Activity or receive a small gift).
Please consider donating to Woolwich Works as we are a Charity and every penny counts.
Can I bring all of the family?
Adults can enter the Grotto for free. If you have older siblings who wish to accompany younger children then they are also welcome, but they won't be able to participate in the Letter to Santa Christmas Activity or receive a small gift unless they are ticket holders.
Whilst we welcome large families, please keep in mind that Santa's Grotto has limited space and we try our best to accommodate everyone.
Can I add an extra child after booking?
We cannot edit bookings once they are confirmed. Please make a new booking for additional guests (subject to availability). There are a limited number of slots in each session to make it the best experience possible.
Can I go with another party/group?
When you make a booking, it is for the number of people in your group. Two separate group bookings cannot go in together to see Father Christmas at the same time, but you can do your Grotto activities together if you are booked into the same time slot.
Can I change my date/time slot?
Tickets are non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable unless the event is cancelled by Woolwich Works.
Your tickets are only valid for the date and time specified on your email confirmation and e-ticket.
If there are special circumstances, particularly access needs, then please email tickets@woolwich.works.
Will tickets be available on the day?
Grotto tickets sell-out very quickly. To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time and date.
The website shows up-to-date, live availability – if tickets are still available on the day you can purchase online and there may be some in person, subject to availability.
What time should we arrive before our booked slot?
Please arrive promptly to the grotto at least 5 minutes before your time slot. Please make sure you have your tickets ready to show them to our elves who will be waiting to greet you!
What happens if we arrive late?
Our sessions run to a very strict schedule so unfortunately, we cannot guarantee access to the grotto in the event that you’re late. The team will do their very best to accommodate you but please bear this in mind.
How will I receive my tickets / Do I need to print them?
Tickets will be emailed to the email address used for booking. On the day, you can show our team the ticket(s) on a phone or as a printed copy.
I didn’t receive my confirmation email or tickets - what should I do?
Please check your junk or spam folder. If you use Hotmail, please check your Junk Email folder. If you use Gmail then check your Promotions folder. Your e-tickets would have been sent from boxoffice@woolwich.works as an attachment with the subject heading "Your Woolwich Works tickets are ready!".
If you still haven’t received them, you can log in to your Woolwich Works account and go to the E-Tickets section.
Alternatively, you can email tickets@woolwich.works in advance of your session to request your e-tickets or make your way to Welcome Desk in the main foyer to get a printed ticket on the day.

What does the ticket cost cover?
Child ticket: A magical grotto experience – including Christmas activities, reading corner, letter writing to Santa activity, a visit with Santa and a small gift.
The accompanying adults will be able to assist the children in their activities and visit Santa along with their child. Materials for activity are allocated to ticket holders only. Santa's gifts are just for child ticket holders.
You will then be able to take photos with Santa or ask one of our friendly elves to take one for you.
Dog ticket: your dog will have the chance to meet Santa and receive a special doggie treat as a gift. You will then be able to have photos taken with Santa. Ask one of our elves to help take a photo of you, your dog and Santa.
How long will the experience last?
From start to finish the experience will take approx25 minutes. You will spend 5 minutes visiting Santa in his house where you can tell him all about your present wish list and take your own photo!
Will I get a photo with Santa?
Please note the ticket does not include a photo taken/printed by Woolwich Works.
You are welcome to take as many photos/videos as you like in you visit with Santa. Our elves will also be on hand to help you take a photo using your camera or phone. All we ask is that you tag us @woolwichworks in any social media posts.
What activities will there be in Santa’s Grotto?
There will be lots to keep little ones entertained in the grotto such as letter writing to Santa, colouring, cosy reading and puzzle solving. Please note, depending on when you arrive, it may be that you take part in these activities before or after visiting Santa in his house. For most guests this activity will take place before you see Santa.
Please note, there is no time limit put on your time in the grotto activity section, but we recommend a maximum of 20 minutes in the space to complete activities and to allow other families the space to enjoy these too etc.
Can I take photos?
Inside Santa’s house our playful elves will help you strike a pose, so you can leave the perfect picture - on your phone or your own camera. Please remember to share with your loved ones far and wide, and don't forget us! Tag us on Instagram @woolwichworks
Please note that this grotto experience does not include a photo taken/printed by Woolwich Works.
Please do not take photos of other people's children and please be mindful of images you may share online which include other people's children. WW can take no responsibility for this, but Santa's Elves will also remind you on the day and be on hand to help.
Santa’s Gifts
Gifts are subject to availability and may vary from promotional images. We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the experience where necessary.
Once a gift has been given it cannot be exchanged either during or after the experience.
If the gift is edible, then an allergen notice will be displayed in the Grotto. A dietary alternative (gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan marshmallows) will be available upon request.
Timekeeping
We aim to provide a high-quality experience for every visitor. If your slot is fully booked, there may be a short wait. Please be patient as our elves do their best to ensure that all guests enjoy the same level of experience.
Note: We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the experience where necessary.
SESSIONS
Will you have Quiet, Relaxed or SEN sessions?
Yes, we are offering quiet sessions on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10am and weekdays in the run up to Christmas. You will be the first people in to the Grotto on that day and will share the space with other children with similar needs. See the Quiet Sessions section in the above menu for details of all of the quiet sessions suitable for those with Special Educational Needs.
Are dogs able to attend?
Dogs are always welcome at Woolwich Works, but we are unable to accommodate our furry friends in general grotto sessions. The only exception to this is if they are an Assistance Dog.
However, there are designated dog sessions on Sunday afternoons at 2pm and on Wednesday 23 December at 2pm. In these sessions your dog will be able to meet Santa and receive a doggy treat.

Yes, absolutely. We are a baby and breastfeeding friendly venue. There will be sofas and chairs in the grotto you may wish to use, you can also speak to one of our elves if you would like a quiet space.
Is there anywhere to eat?
Our Visitors' Book Café will be open at the same time as Santa's Grotto. We will have a brunch menu, items in our chiller cabinet and a selection of sweets, fresh fruit and pastries.
Can I bring food and drink into the grotto?
We know that little ones get hungry and thirsty so little snacks, if needed, can be eaten. We ask that snacks are bought from our café where we have a lovely and varied selection of all things naughty, nice and healthy. Please do not bring outside food and drink in to our café or grotto and make sure that you dispose of any waste responsibly in the bins provided.
Do you offer carer tickets?
All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and adults have free admission to the grotto if they are accompanied by a ticket holder.
