HEADLINERS: ETANA, TEEJAY, RONDELL POSITIVE

Rhythm of Hope is proud to announce a powerhouse lineup for its inaugural Jamaican Independence 63 fundraising concert—uniting purpose and performance in one unforgettable celebration.
Taking centre stage is two-time Grammy-nominated, internationally acclaimed Etana, alongside Jamaica’s breakout star Teejay, whose electrifying sets have captivated audiences worldwide. Fresh from commanding performances at Germany’s legendary 38th Summerjam Festival and City Splash London, these musical trailblazers are set to ignite the Rhythm of Hope stage with energy, authenticity, and undeniable star power.
“Having Etana, ‘The Strong One,’ perform at Rhythm of Hope is a historic moment,” says Nathaniel Peat, Global Jamaica Diaspora Council Rep and co-organiser. “Her presence is not just entertainment, it’s a celebration of empowered womanhood and cultural pride. Pairing her with Rondell’s gospel message and with Teejay, one of Jamaica’s most dynamic young talents, sets the tone for a movement rooted in music, unity, and transformation.”

Watch out for more big-name artists to be announced soon. This is a night not to be missed.

I am truly pleased to join in acknowledging the dedicated efforts towards making this concert a reality,” she continues: “ The Diaspora’s support is always deeply appreciated as it epitomises the spirit of patriotism and solidarity in challenging times. The proceeds from this concert will undoubtedly have a meaningful direct impact on communities, even as they help to strengthen Jamaica’s long-term resilience in the face of disasters and future shocks. I, therefore, encourage the Jamaican communities across the Diaspora and our friends to support this well-intentioned positive cause.

This event is more than just a concert, it's a sustainable initiative aimed at rebuilding lives and homes that were devastated by natural disasters in Jamaica. Last year, Hurricane Beryl caused unprecedented destruction, leaving countless families displaced and communities in shambles. More recently, devastating fires have compounded the hardships faced by those striving to recover. Through this vibrant musical celebration, the aim is to raise critical funds to provide essential supplies and to run reconstruction efforts to create homes and infrastructure that are better equipped to withstand future hurricanes and fires.

Set to be the reggae concert of the summer, this unforgettable evening will feature:

- International reggae acts from Jamaica.

- Homegrown UK talent and a fusion of Caribbean rhythms, gospel harmonies, and diverse musical styles.

- A true Caribbean experience throughout the event, that celebrates the enduring value of Jamaica’s cultural heritage, with extra activities for all to enjoy, so arrive early!

Organised as a volunteer-led and collaborative effort from the www.rohja.org, support from the Global Jamaican Diaspora Council UK Rep, friends of the diaspora, Black Things UK, MyGrocery List Jamaica, The Safety Box, Food for the Poor (FFPJA).

This event holds profound significance, taking place just days after Jamaican Independence underscoring powerful themes of rebuilding, recovery, and resilience. Join us for this incredible celebration of music and purpose!
