A high-energy, inclusive dance and movement workshop designed to get everyone moving, creating, and performing with confidence—no experience needed.

Through a playful series of games and guided activities, participants are introduced to simple choreographic tools while discovering the joy of physical expression and group creativity. The focus is on fun, freedom, and building body confidence in a supportive environment suitable for all ages and abilities.

Across the session, you’ll take part in a mix of dynamic activities including:

• Guess the Dance Leader – an energetic warm-up game that gets everyone switching, copying, and laughing together

• Kids Disco – where simple movements evolve into original dance phrases and shared routines

• Slapdance – exploring rhythm and repetition through claps, eccentric handshakes, and inventive physical patterns

…and plenty more surprises along the way.

The workshop builds toward participants working in pairs to create their own short performance pieces, inspired by repetitive and playful actions such as clapping games, signature moves, and familiar dance steps. These are then shared with the group, with one routine selected to be learned and performed together as a full-company finale.

Led by experienced facilitator Matt Rudkin and Jon Hicks, the session is rooted in professional performance practice.
