Set away from the hustle and bustle of our public spaces, the Stitchers Studio is a self-contained space on the first floor of the west side of the building. At 8.5m x 14.6m (minimum clear width), it has dual-aspect windows with views towards the riverside and onto our quadrangle.
The walls are finished in exposed brick, punctuated by mirrors and oak ballet barres, and the walls at either end of the room and smooth and white, with doors inset. At high level, an exposed concrete soffit adds to the honest industrial charm of the space, which also has a resilient ply studio floor. The room includes a PA system suitable for playback and an upright piano.
The Stitchers Studio benefits from a dedicated set of toilets and showers, making it ideal for educational use. It's accessed via stairs or lift from our Stage Door entrance on the western side of the building, and can therefore also be used as additional back of house space for major events. Please note that the Stitchers Studio isn't suitable for loud music, and unlike our other three rehearsal studios doesn't have production lighting bars.
We’re hard at work putting the finishing touches to our buildings. The images shown here are composite renders, intended to give an impression of how each space will look when complete. The rooms in our heritage buildings vary in dimension from end-to-end and the information given is for the anticipated narrowest or shortest clear dimension. The details may be subject to change when building work has finished.
