The perfect way to close out World Wide Stitch in Public Day – and a little more intimate than the afternoon’s main events.

Join Lydia Amartey-Williams (Game of Wool), Lauren Tedstonen (The Great British Sewing Bee) and Nyala Rowe of Crochet Junction for afternoon tea: think scones, sandwiches, cake and good conversation. It’s your chance to ask the questions that didn’t make it into the panel, hear more from these three brilliant makers, and spend a relaxed hour or so in great company.

Grab your stitchy besties and settle in as Lydia, Lauren and Nyala spill the tea!

Lydia

Lydia Amartey-Williams has been knitting since the age of eight - a lifelong obsession that eventually landed her on national television as a contestant on The Game of Wool.

As the co-founder of Weku Yarn, she has gone from knitting simple patterns to crafting vibrant hand-dyed yarns and designing her own creations. Fuelled by colour, curiosity, and a healthy dose of yarn-loving chaos, Lydia enjoys inspiring makers and sharing the real, behind-the-scenes life in the fibre arts world.

Nyala

Nyala is the creator behind @crochet_junction, a crochet and lifestyle platform focused on modern crochet, cosy creativity and community. Through her content, she shares approachable crochet projects, yarn inspiration, workshops and honest behind the scenes moments, with a particular love for handmade accessories and homeware.

Known for her warm, yellow and relatable style, Nyala has built an engaged online community across Instagram and YouTube, where she documents her creative life through vlogs, tutorials and event coverage. Her work centres around making crochet feel accessible, social and inspiring for a new generation of makers.

Note: please book before Friday 5 June at 12pm midday to secure your spot!
