Inam Zimbalista expands the possibilities of the moving image, using narrative and cinematic language as a means of probing the intricacies of human relationships, identity, and perception. Each piece blends elements of fiction with visual experimentation, inviting viewers into spaces where the boundaries between reality and constructed narrative begin to dissolve.

Themes of familyhood, gender, and the fluidity of identity run throughout the work. Characters move between intimacy and distance, routine and rupture, reflecting the unpredictable nature of lived experience. By challenging the familiar frameworks through which stories are told, these works open up new perspectives on how we navigate our daily lives and the emotional landscapes that accompany them.

This display will be in Coopers Foyer, and is free of charge and open to all ages.
