We're thrilled that National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) has joined us as a resident artistic company.

NYJO was founded in 1965 as a jazz orchestra of young musicians. Today, it nurtures talented, aspiring musicians at the start of their careers and aims to improve jazz education across the country.

Locally, NYJO will work with the community to develop young people's musical and social skills. This will include a creative jazz group, offering young people in the area the opportunity to gain their first experience of performing with an ensemble.

We'll be sharing more news about NYJO's plans later in the year.
