Joe Browne is a musician, composer and educator based in SE18.

An alumnus of Birmingham Conservatoire and Berklee College of Music, he now enjoys a busy schedule on the London jazz scene. He has played pretty much everywhere in town from the Royal Festival Hall to Ronnie Scott's.

An extremely active educator, he is known for his jazz and creative orchestral workshops. He is an associate educator for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) and The Director of Jazz Education at Deal Music and Arts.

As a local resident, Joe is delighted to be programming some Sunday jazz at Woolwich Works and will be looking to feature musicians predominantly from the extraordinary pool of local talent. This January show will kick off with a relatively new trio featuring rising stars, Myra Brownbridge on double bass and Matthew Holmes on drums, with Joe Browne on saxophone. The three bonded as musicians and friends on a NYJO Education tour of schools in Cumbria.

This live session will take place in our Visitors Book Café. No need to book, just come down on the day.
