Creative Futures: Livi Vaughan interviewed by David Hockham
University of Greenwich and Woolwich Works present Designer and Associate Creative Director for Punchdrunk’s The Burnt City talks about working in the arts in the 21st centuryIn a new collaboration between Woolwich Works and the University of Greenwich, this series of interviews offers an opportunity to hear from industry professionals working across the Creative Arts today. Each event will provide an insight into the sector, explore some of its challenges and ask what we might need to prepare to work in the industry and how we can shape its future in the decades to come.
Livi Vaughan works internationally as a designer and creative director, and is a long time collaborator with Punchdrunk. Her work spans theatre, live experiences, music videos, digital projects and editorial. Livi trained at Central St Martins studying Theatre Design for Performance. Livi’s work for Punchdrunk includes The Masque of the Red Death, Sleep No More, The Drowned Man: A Hollywood Fable and most recently The Burnt City. In this talk, Livi talks to David Hockham about designing The Burnt City, and creating new worlds for immersive audiences.
