Michael Lewis
TrusteesMichael Lewis
Growing up Michael was involved in every possible amateur dramatic and community theatre project possible. During secondary school his enthusiasm for theatre and the arts evolved, and as soon as he was able, Michael moved to London from the north of England in pursuit of his passion. He studied for a Certificate of Higher Education before gaining his BA hons degree in acting at East15 Acting School. After graduating he worked as an actor with a focus on theatre and community arts. Then undertook other roles that have extended his knowledge not only within the arts but working with people.
He has now settled down in the public sector and has been a resident of the Royal Arsenal since 2018. The area has developed in short space of time and he has enjoyed watching the area blossom and thrive. Having a young family on the Arsenal is a driving factor in his choice to become involved in Woolwich Works. As a local resident, his aim is to create a desirable location for people from all over the borough and London to visit. But also building a sense of community as he experienced whilst growing up. He looks forward to using his knowledge and connections in business, entertainment, events and planning to make Woolwich Works a huge success in putting Woolwich on the map.
