Ben Howarth

Ben’s Chief of Staff at the BBC, working across radio, children's, arts, music and education on TV, radio and online. He’s worked at the BBC for 10 years in a variety of strategic roles, helping the corporation reinvent itself for the next generation by reaching younger audiences through digital platforms. As Head of Strategy for BBC North he helped establish the BBC's new presence in MediaCity UK, in the North West of England. Before the BBC he worked at the communications regulator Ofcom. He graduated from the London School of Economics in 2006 studying government and history. Originally from South Yorkshire he now lives in Plumstead and has lived in South East London for 14 years.
